WEAR LA ROSE

I collaborated with O2’s UK agency of record, VCCP London, alongside Girl&Bear and Bernadette, to develop the 'Wear La Rose' campaign. This initiative features a unique piece of art commissioned to celebrate the vital role of fans in rugby.

Drawing inspiration from the style of French Romanticism, I was responsible for creating an ornate frame that incorporates various branding elements and iconography representative of Rugby, O2, and the England Team.

Crafting the Ornate Frame

Using Cinema 4D, Redshift, ZBrush, and Photoshop, I meticulously crafted the frame to convey a sense of age. I imbued it with scratches, wear, and textures that provide an authentic, time-worn appearance, enhancing the overall visual narrative.

Central Artwork

At the heart of this campaign is a painting created by the award-winning Canadian artist Vincent McIndoe. This piece beautifully captures the passion and emotion of fans as they fervently support their team. It depicts a vibrant crowd of England players and fans of all ages, adorned in O2-branded rugby shirts and flags. A prominent fan holding a young child on his shoulders symbolizes the joy and unity that rugby inspires.

Campaign Features

The campaign includes several engaging elements:

  • Interactive Social Filter: Designed by Girl&Bear, this feature allows fans to immerse themselves in the artwork.

  • Art Style Transformation: Fans have the opportunity to transform themselves into the artwork’s style, creating a personal connection to the campaign.

  • Emulating England Heroes: The campaign encourages fans to celebrate their heroes by embodying the spirit of the team.

Through this project, I aimed to create a compelling visual experience that resonates with rugby fans, while celebrating the sport's community and heritage.
