This R&D project focused on demonstrating proof of concept for a new visual approach. The primary objective was to explore caustics, lighting, and composition while maintaining a high-end luxury feel that aligns with the brand's core values.

To achieve this, I established several key objectives:

  • Maintaining Premium Brand Ideals: Focused on developing an upscale aesthetic that reflects Valentino's luxurious image. Ensured all visual elements consistently align with the brand’s identity and ethos.

  • Using Lighting and Caustics: Employed advanced lighting techniques to create dynamic contrasts and depth. Played with shadows and caustics to enhance visual impact and realism. Crafted an inviting atmosphere that draws attention to key elements.

  • Keeping the Colours On-Brand: Carefully selected a colour palette that aligns with Valentino's branding. Ensured all hues contributed to a cohesive and polished look. Highlighted luxury features in a way that resonates with the target audience.

  • Enhancing Realism through Composition: Utilised meticulous composition techniques to create a sense of movement and elegance. Ensured that all elements work harmoniously together to improve the overall visual narrative.

  • Utilising Advanced Software Tools: Employed Cinema 4D for 3D modelling, animation and Redshift for high-quality rendering to achieve photo-realistic results.
